GIS 101: Introduction to Geographic Information Systems

RE- This course addresses the principles and a conceptual overview of Geographic Information System (GIS) software.  It covers the use and applications in natural science resource management, and other fields utilizing GIS, with hands-on experience using ArcGIS.  
NOTE: Students will need access to a computer capable of running ArcGIS Pro. Experience with computers and spreadsheets strongly recommended.

GIS 102: Geographic Info Systems II

Credits 5

RE- This course is intended to develop advanced skills using ESRI’s ArcGIS.  Students learn the basics of the Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst extensions for ArcGIS.  Other topics include types of Geographic Information System (GIS) data available and map accuracy standards. 
NOTE: Students will need access to a computer capable of running ArcGIS Pro.
