In Cascadia College’s Mobile App Development pathway, you will prepare for a career in the area of Mobile Application Development. This program is designed to meet current industry demands in the field of Information Technology related to full-stack systems design across major mobile platforms. Students, working both independently and in teams, will finish the program with a professional portfolio that demonstrates app development expertise from design through launch and beyond including crash monitoring.
Modalities
Coursework may be completed through a combination of in-person (web enhanced), hybrid and online modes, though not every course is offered in the same modality each quarter. Specific courses may be offered at certain times of the year. Consult the current Class Schedule.
Placement
Many courses at Cascadia College have placement prerequisites for reading, writing and math ability. The courses that you will place into determine how you progress through your pathway and how long your degree will take. There are a variety of ways to find your English and Math placement level.
Completion of any college-level math course requiring Algebra (MATH 085) as a prerequisite is required for admissions to the BAS Mobile Application Development Program.

Planning Your Courses:
Dedicated Academic Advisor: Students in the Web Application Programming Technology Program have access to a dedicated IT academic advisor. Your advisor will help you develop the skills to make academic and career pathway decisions. Through advising, your advisor will support you to make connections between academic interests, long term goals, and career opportunities. The IT advisor will assist with education planning, internship and career planning, and graduation processes.

Transfer Opportunities
Associate in Science Transfer Track 2, Pre-Engineering Major Related Program (MRP) Other (Mechanical/Civil/Aeronautical/Industrial/Materials) Science) Cascadia's Associate in Science Track 2, Pre- Engineering MRP Major-Related Program (part of the Direct Transfer Agreement) prepares you to transfer to a four-year college or university in a variety of engineering majors. Engineering is a broad field; one course of study will not prepare you for study in all the sub-disciplines in the field. Cascadia therefore offers three different “pathways” of study within the Associate in Science in Engineering degree.Android Application Developer , iOS Application Developer, Mobile Application Developer, Application Development Associate, Java Developer, Technology Project Manager, Database Developer.
