AIIS 102: Introduction to American Indian and Indigenous Studies

EDP, H- Introductory course in American Indian / Indigenous Studies (AIIS) provides students with essential perspectives and narratives focused on the direct experiences and cultural heritage of Indigenous People of North America. Topics covered in the interdisciplinary course include: the scope of the AIIS field of study, the rich diversity of the Indigenous People of North America, Tribal sovereignty, State and Federal Treaties defining Tribal self-determination and Tribal Power Movements in the 21st century.
