EDP, GS, H- This English course introduces students to the study of how literature gives voice, shape and meaning to human experience. Students will explore a breadth of literary genres, texts, and critical approaches. Through close reading, class discussion, and both analytical and imaginative responses, students will gain skills for exploring the impact of literature, and connecting texts and authors to their historical, cultural, and global contexts. This class will be organized around a theme chosen by the instructor.
